Psychological Test

A Psychological test is standard measure of sample of a person’s behaviour that is used to measure the difference that exist among people and measure of an individual’s mental and /or behaviour characteristics.

Psychological test are used to assessed a variety of mental abilities and attributes, including achievement and ability, personality, and neurological functioning.

    • To get information easily
    • Information is scientifically tested and reliable
    • They assist in diagnosis. Eg. Rorschach test (ROR)
    • They assist in formulation of psychopathology of disease. Eg. TAT
    • They assist in assessing severity of disorder. Eg. Hamilton rating scale for Depression
    • They help in assessing general characteristics of individual. Eg. Personality tests
    • These tests assess level of functioning or disability, help direct treatment and assess
    • treatment outcome.

    Intelligence general mental ability to reason, solve problem, think abstractly, and apply what they know to solve practical problems.
